Whitworth Ferguson Planetarium Program: The View From Down Under-Stars of the Southern Hemisphere
Posted by webadmin@buffalostate.edu
Time: 7:30 p.m.
Location: Whitworth Ferguson Planetarium, Science Building
The early evening sky is becoming a very busy place. This summer Venus, Mars, and Saturn will align in what is believed to be the same triangular grouping that formed the Star of Bethlehem. This grouping is known as a triple conjunction.
This awe-inspiring planetary grouping will be viewed and discussed.
The grouping will also be seen during special observation sessions, "The View From Buffalo: Summer Skies From Your Backyard," held prior to and following the evening show. There is no admission fee for the observations.
A telescope or pair of binoculars is recommended.
