As part of Africa Week, the following speakers will present on the topic of English Alumni and African Connections: Natalie Di Biase, "Beyond the ‘Post’-Colonial within Modern Arabic Literature”; Deborah Martin, "Beethoven Was One-Sixteenth Black: The Legacy of Apartheid and the Heritage of Guilt in Nadine Gordimer’s Fiction.”; Drew Beiter & Matthew Meader, Buffalo for Africa, Global Education, Genocide Education, and Visit to Rwanda (summer 2009).
